Idea gathering

Our idea was to do a comedic advert where we would showcase a perfume, with following conventions of existing advert perfumes showing luxury and class, after showing a lot of different scenes. Showing a man modelling and showing off his 'class' and 'superiority' with the perfume and with him being famous etc. The perfume allowing him to sway women his way, etc. However towards the end we either thought of making the product a cheap air freshener, that would confuse the audience and make them laugh, or we thought of making it a sort of dream where the 'husband' was day-dreaming. we thought this would apply to the target audience of 20 and upwards as this is when people usually settle down and start to have houses, in which they need air fresheners. The humorous advert structure will make it stick in people's mind better as they will remember it from the funny aspect of it.

The final idea however what we went with was to still follow a humorous advert structure, the idea was changed so that we could do it by our selves within our group. we would have 2 police officers that would be following a suspicious figure, the figure would then run off, after a brief chase scene the figure would be cornered in a alleyway, and the two officers looking serious, would pull out two air fresheners and pretend to use them as guns as to hold up the figure so that he doesen't move. This is where the humour would come into play, after the all the characters would talk and the suspicious figure would be extremely confused, by the febreeze 'guns' their would be a voice in the background calling his name repeatedly, until it get's louder and then the figure wakes up from a dream to see that it was all a dream, however the febreeze this time would be in use by the figure's mum in his room spraying ti. we decided to combine both of the initial ideas we had and to also mix them up to try and create a more easy structure and advert to do. The funny, humorous advert will also appeal to a more younger audience as they will find the jokes funny, and so will allow them to remember the idea better and possibly persuade their parents to buy the product that we are advertising.
